PenMount PCI touch controller Performance Improvements
Last month, PenMount successfully concluded its
exhibit at Electronica 2014 in Munich. PenMount would like to thank all guests
who visited our display booth. At this biennial event, PenMount showcased new
PenMount Touch controller products and specifications. Many clients expressed a
high degree of interest in displayed PenMount products, especially Projected
Capacitive Input (PCI) controllers. When clients operate PCI touch panel
products in real-world situations, they frequently face the problems of noise
interference or applications requiring gloved touch operation. PenMount
provides solutions for these two issues.
The noise interference issue is the greatest challenge
facing clients utilizing PCI touch panels. The PenMount PM1710 is a PenMount
PCI controller that supports standard 24" large-size PCI touch panels and
the PenMount PM1710 has already obtained impartial third party issued EMC Level
3 certification. The PenMount PM1710 utilizes a comprehensive hardware design
paired with firmware featuring next-generation frequency hopping algorithm
technology to effectively reduce the probability of noise interference and
allow significant enhancement in the PenMount PM1710's anti-noise ability.
At the same time, the PenMount PM1710 also supports
gloved touch functionality which both affirms our dedication to clients from
colder regions and demonstrates client inquiries into gloved operation are
increasing when operation environments are unusual. Even though there are many
types of gloves and a wide variety of glove material characteristics
(dielectric constants), PenMount PCI touch controllers have already been
verified to offer normal PCI touch panel operation with a number of commonly
used gloves such as rubber cleaning gloves, industrial cotton gloves, medical
latex gloves, etc. In addition, PenMount's objective in terms of handling water
on the PCI touch panel surface is to increase operational reliability and make
the avoidance of false signals our developmental direction.
In the last month of the year, we improved a number of
PenMount products and features. As 2014 comes to a close, we wish you all a
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We look forward to working even harder to
fulfill the needs of our clients in 2015.
